50 marijuana plants seized in Ky. search

By Portia Williamsportiawilliams@civitasmedia.comGREENUP COUNTY, Ky. — Deputies from the Greenup County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) discovered 50 marijuana plants growing in a rural area of Greenup County on Thursday.Following up on a an anonymous tip, GCSO deputies launched a searched Wednesday for plants containing illegal growth in the rural area Oldtown area of Rt. 1 in Greenup County. Deputy Matt Smith said the search ended on Thursday with the findings being 50 marijuana plants. Deputies Larry Pancake and Ryan Houston assisted Smith in the search.
