Someone wrote to ask about the Ghost of Hansen’s Bend, which I had mentioned in a previous column. The bend, on an incline, was at the mouth of South Portsmouth Schoolhouse Hollow, which ties into Route 8 near the Kentucky approach to the Carl Perkins Memorial Bridge.
