Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said members of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force arrested 48-year-old Teresa Jewett of 725 Tidd Hollow Road, Piketon, about 9:50 a.m. Monday, on a warrant for drug trafficking and other alleged crimes.
According to Donini, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit and the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office obtained the warrant in December 2011 after presenting a drug trafficking case involving Jewett to a Scioto County grand jury.
Jewett is charged with trafficking in oxycodone within the vicinity of a juvenile, possession of oxycodone, having a weapon while under disability and possession of criminal tools, all felonies.
Jewett was placed in the Scioto County Jail, and is being held without bond awaiting an initial appearance in Scioto County Common Pleas Court.
