South Webster ends Oak Hill’s streak

Freshman Kacie Hall’s game-high 18 points and five assists lifted visiting South Webster to a 53-33 win over Oak Hill, ending the Oaks’ 58-game SOC II winning streak.

Mariah Sullivan added 13 points and eight rebounds in the contest while Haley Potters pulled down 10 rebounds and had five steals in the win. Oak Hill was led by Alex Kuhn’s 11 points.

The Jeeps return home Monday to face Minford in an early battle of the unbeatens. The Oaks travel to Northwest.

Clay 42, Symmes Valley 32

Clay took down Symmes Valley 42-32 at home Thursday evening to move to 2-0 on the season.

Katie Redding had six points for the Lady Panthers, but also chipped in some hustle statistics with eight rebounds and nine steals. Redding’s teammate Emily Widdowson led all scorers with 14 points.

Lexi Gilliland was also a double-digit scorer for Clay with 10 points.

Symmes Valley was led in scoring by Kaitlyn Payne with 11 points.

Clay travels to Eastern Dec. 3 while Symmes Valley will host Green the same evening.

Western traveled to Green Thursday evening and returned to Pike County 46-28 winners.

Brittany Reader had a big night for the Lady Indians scoring 19 points.

Guilia Elli led the Lady Bobcats with 13 points while teammate Bobbie Applegate chipped in eight points and had three steals.

Madison Applegate had 14 rebounds for Green in the loss.

Western will travel to East Dec. 3 while Green will travel to Oak Hill Saturday.

Minford visited Waverly Thursday evening and came away 55-24 winners.

Junior Kylie Berry had a big evening for the Lady Falcons scoring 20 points. Berry’s teammate Gabby Grose also had double-digit scoring with 11 points.

Hannah Martin had a team-high six points for the Lady Tigers and also pulled down six rebounds. Jordyn Corcoran and Bri Wiget each had five rebounds for Waverly.

Minford travels to South Webster Dec. 3 while Waverly will travel to west the same evening.

Northwest’s K’Lee McGlurg had 20 points and teammate Darbie Jenkins had 17.
