Linda Maple, 69

Linda Mae Maple, 69 of West Portsmouth died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. She was born May 10, 1943, in Scioto County to the late Rufus and Golden “Goldie” Brown Cox. Linda was a former employee of Williams Shoe Factory, she was a cake decorator, worked at Maple’s House of Magic and was a Magician’s assistant to her husband, she was a member of the Eastern Star and was a mother’s adviser to the Rainbow Girls, she did alterations on clothes and was also a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church. Along with her parents Linda was preceded in death by seven half brothers and four half sisters.

Linda is survived by her husband Morris Maple who she married on Dec. 23, 1967, two daughters; Shannon Maple of West Portsmouth and Syleana (Shane) Mougey of Minford, four grandchildren; Tyler and Taylor Pennington and Sydney and Sophia Mougey.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKendree Cemetery in Stout with Reverend Tony Maple officiating and interment will follow. Friends may gather at the cemetery starting at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
