Charles “Chub” Bartlett, 70, of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla., passed away at the Bay Pines Hospice Center in Bay Pines, Fla., after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Portsmouth, Sept. 25, 1959, to the late Norman and Gladys Bartlett.

He was a graduate of Portsmouth High School in the class of 1957 and a member of First Christian Church.

Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Gay Bartlett of Surprise, Ariz.; sister, Norma Grashel of Portsmouth; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Ted Truitt of Waverly, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
