Carolyn Sue Musser Carter, 62, of Chillicothe, Ohio, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, in Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

She was born in Firebrick, Ky., Oct. 11, 1947, a daughter of the late George Musser and Hazel Adkins Musser. She was a waitress at Frisch’s in Chillicothe, Ohio, and the former Town House restaurant in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Surviving are her husband, Neal Carter of Chillicothe, Ohio; one son, Frank Caulkins of Waverly, Ohio; two daughters, Tammy Fiske and Cassandra Hess, both of Portsmouth, Ohio; three brothers, Larry Musser of Columbus, Ohio, Ray Musser of Tipp City, Ohio, and George Musser Jr. of Portsmouth, Ohio; one sister, Betty Camden of Greenup, Ky.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Carver; and one brother, Roger Musser.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., with Pastor Dennis Garmon officiating. Burial will be in Scioto Burial Park in McDermott, Ohio. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
