Robert L. “Karaoke” Warren, 52 of McDermott, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 10, 1956, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Raleigh and Edna Strickland Warren.
Bobby was a retired Rush Township employee, a member of the Russell Williams Post 471 of the American Legion, and a 1976 Northwest High School graduate. He was also a former member of the Rush Township Volunteer Fire Department earning the Fireman of The Year award in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Joan Russell Warren, whom he married Dec. 10, 1976, in Lucasville; three sons, Jimmy Warren, Rick (Roxann) Warren, and Jason Warren, all of McDermott; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Warren of McDermott; four sisters, Nancy McKinley, Brenda Gillette, Betty McKinley, and Sharon Spencer, all of McDermott; and mother-in-law, Betty Russell of Otway.
Bobby was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raleigh David and Timmie Warren; one sister, Judy Brannan; his stepfather, Walter Brannan; and his father-in-law, James Russell.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, in Rushtown Cemetery, with George Vastine officiating. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
