Piketon won its second game of the season with a 57-40 win over Adena.


Ashley Pelphrey recorded a double-double for the victorious Redstreaks. Pelphrey finished the game with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Faith Pack also had a strong game for Piketon by scoring five points and pulling down 10 boards.


Ashlee Lawhorn finished the game with 14 points while hitting two three-point field goals as the Redstreaks hit five treys as a team.


Piketon travels Tuesday to Southeastern.

Clay 59, Green 23

Clay remained undefeated after beating Green 59-23 Thursday night. The Panthers improved their record to 3-0 with the victory.


Emily Widdowson led Clay in scoring with 12 points. Shannon Curley added six points while dishing out seven helpers for the Panthers. Lexi Gilliland added 10 points of her own and pulled down six boards.


Clay travels Saturday to Valley.

Oak Hill beat Valley 57-50 Thursday evening.

The Oaks were led by Kayla Swann who scored 16 points and Leann Adkins who scored a game high 26 points.

Taylor Skaggs also scored 16 points to lead the Indians.

Valley welcomes Clay to town Saturday.

It took overtime Thursday night to decide the winner of the Wheelersburg-Minford contest.

The game was deadlocked at 39 going into the extra frame when the Pirates used an 11-6 run to defeat the Falcons 50-45.

Carrie Wynn led Minford with 18 points while Brooklyn Yeley added seven points, including two three-point field goals.

Brooklyn Adams lead Wheelersburg with 17 points. Sarah Willis chipped in seven points to help the Pirates.

The Falcons will return to the court Saturday as Paint Valley comes to town.

Notre Dame picked up its second win of the young season with a 57-43 victory over Western.

The Titans were led by Ragen Kayser who scored 21 points. Brooke Pierron added 10 points of her own, including knocking down the only trey of the game. Katie Stevenson scored 15 points in the winning effort.

Notre Dame travels Monday to Clay.

The Notre Dame Titans improved their record to 2-0 with a 42-33 home victory over the Northwest Mohawks.


C.J. Smith lead all scorers with 12 points while teammate Daniel Ogg poured in 11 points to lead the victorious Titans.


Notre Dame hit three three-point field goals in the contest, two coming from Dakota Smith and one from C.J.Smith.


The Titans will open SOC play Friday when they host East.
