Mitchell McFarland’s 39 paced Wheelersburg to victory Tuesday in a quad match at Shawnee State Golf Course over SOC II foes Northwest, Valley and Minford.
The Pirates left with a score of 167, 39 strokes better than the runner-up Mohawks, who was paced by a 50 from Chris Hoffer. Darby High’s 46 led the Indians to a score of 221 and rounds of 51 apiece from Matt Parker and Seth Jenkins led the Falcons to a 231 on the afternoon.
Minford will play South Webster Wednesday at Little Scioto Golf Course.

Quad at Big Beaver Creek
Taylor Swayne’s 44 helped pace Clay to a 185 and victory Tuesday at Big Beaver Creek Golf Course over Eastern, Western and Notre Dame.
The Indians came in second with a cumulitive score of 214 and the Eagles took third with a score of 225. The Titans did not have enough participants to field a full team score Tuesday.
The Panthers will tee off Wednesday at Shawnee State Golf Course against Ironton and Chesapeake before Thursday’s Portsmouth Invitational. Low rounds for the other three schools were unavailable at press time.

Portsmouth claimed its first home match of the season with a 4-1 decision Tuesday over Scioto County foe Notre Dame.
The Titans were able to claim a second doubles victory as their lone triumph. The Trojans travel Wednesday morning to Waverly.
