PHS Cheerleaders In River Days Parade 1974 submitted by Trent Hulbert

Andy Lyles wrote: This picture might just capture “the good ole days” about as well as any we have had posted. All of the businesses, River Days in its heyday…man this is really a good one.

Marcia Duncan wrote: That is Angie McCoy, Jennifer Scurlock, Carla Kyle, and Debbie Keipper. The other cheerleaders were Jeanie Ratliff, Cindy Anderson, and Karlan Angie.

James Bergman wrote: My mom worked at Marting’s, and we went every year to River Days. I always told my kids of the crowds during this era. This is proof of what it used to be. I believe that Robert Fuller was the big attraction this year when he played on “Emergency!”. The size of this crowd is phenomenal.

Stan Workman wrote: That was my first parade in the PHS band, and yes, doesn’t the parade look so exciting coming down Chillicothe Street?

Trent Hulbert wrote: Hard to believe that many people!

AJ Gemperline wrote: The crowds were thick back then and the parade was long. I remember after the band broke up on 3rd Street, some of us walked back the parade route to where other band members had parked their cars near the head of the parade route. The parade would still be going on when we made it back to the head of the route. Those were the days.
