The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a missing woman. At around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a missing adult female. The woman is identified as area businesswoman Kimberly Little.

Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless said deputies met Tuesday with Little’s husband, Mark Little, who advised deputies his wife had left work at 9:30 a.m. and he and other family members had not seen nor heard from her since. The Little’s are the owners of Curry and Johnson Heating & Cooling in Rome, Ohio. Her husband told deputies Mrs. Little had arrived at work sometime near 9 a.m. and left the business around 9:30 a.m. driving a white 2006 Toyota Sequoia with Ohio registration EBB 9383. She was reportedly going to the post office in Guyandotte, West Virginia, and then to the City National Bank in Proctorville. Bank personnel advise that Little did not come to their branch and that no deposits have been made to the accounts.

Lawless said at the time of the initial report a a “be on the lookout” was sent through the tri-state for all law enforcement agencies to watch for the described vehicle. He said attempts have been made to call her cellphone but the calls go straight to voice mail. Lawless said his office contacted her cellphone provider and asked them to “ping” her phone in an attempt to locate her but they have been advised that they are getting no return signal and it is believed that the phone is turned off. The cellphone provider shows her last activity to be at 9:28 a.m. Tuesday. The company said it will continue to ping her phone every 15 minutes to see if the phone gets turned back on.

Lawless said none of Mrs. Little’s credit cards have been used and she has no known medical or mental conditions.

“This is a close family and no one thinks she would just leave the area,” Lawless said. “Our investigation shows no known marital or family issues that cause us concern.”

Kimberly Little is 55 years old, 5-feet-7-inches tall, with short brown hair and blue eyes. Lawless said anyone with information as to where Little may be is urged to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
