LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. — According to reports from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office an accident involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian occurred Thursday evening on KY 10 in an area west of Garrison, Ky.
Sheriff Johnny Bivens said his office received a call of a motorcycle accident at approximately 10:08 p.m. on Thursday. It was determined by deputies upon arrival to the scene that a 2008 Honda CRF 100 operated by Tannor Robinson, 17, of Garrison, Ky. was traveling eastbound on the shoulder of KY 10, when the motorcycle struck the pedestrian, Allen Howard, 18, who was walking on the eastbound shoulder of KY 10.
According to reports, Robinson and his passenger, Austin Kiser 18, of Minford, Ohio were both ejected from the motorcycle. Robinson and Howard sustained critical injuries and were life-flighted to Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Kiser was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center by Portsmouth Ambulance.
Bivens said the AA Highway was shut down for two hours after the crash occurred. He also said criminal charges may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
The accident remains under investigation by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office who was accompanied by Garrison Fire & Rescue, and Portsmouth Ambulance.
