Lewis County, Ky. - Fred Pollard, 37, and Amy Adkins, 26, of Old Trace Road in Lewis County, were arrested Monday, March 25 by the Lewis Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges.


Lewis County Sheriff Johnny Bivens said the home of Fred Pollard, 2190 Old Trace Road has been under observation for the manufacturing of methamphetamine.


Bivens said officers gained entry to Pollard’s residence Monday afternoon, and located an indoor growth of marijuana, chemicals typically used in methamphetamine production, and the drug in its finished state.


According to the Sheriff, said the illegal activity occurred in the presence of a 7-month old child.


Bivens said Adkins, who is presently pregnant, admitted to smoking methamphetamine earlier in the day Monday.


Both Pollard and Adkins have been charged with cultivating Marijuana over five plants, Possession of controlled substance 1st Degree, Possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a minor, with additional charges will be added.


Both Pollard and Adkins were arrested and are currently lodged in the Lewis County Detention Center.
