GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. — The local emergency service community is reaching out to Greenup County, Ky., EMS Paramedic Mike Stevens, who responded to a deadly crash that claimed the life of his wife and five-year old daughter Monday night.

Greenup County EMS has established a memorial fund, of which donations may be made at Members Choice Credit Union 1401 Central Ave. in Ashland, Ky. 41101. All donations should be designated for the Mike Stevens Family Memorial Fund.

According to Greenup County Sheriff’s Office, Stephanie Stevens, 31, of Ashland, Ky., and 5-year-old Kylie were involved in a two-vehicle accident that occurred near the KY 207 Interchange on Industrial Parkway Monday at approximately 10:25 p.m. The driver of the other vehicle involved, Corey Johnson, 32, of Grayson, Ky., was listed in critical condition. Stevens and her daughter died at area hospitals.

Mike Stevens has been employed with Greenup Co. EMS since 2009. Stevens and his wife Stephanie were married in 2007.
