WHEELERSBURG — Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will kick off the first Family Day event of the year on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at 10:30 a.m.
Each month, Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation hosts Family Day celebration events which are information sessions for the residents, their family members and members of the community. The guest speakers for the January Family Day event will be Mary Arnzen Lead Donor Relations Coordinator for Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) and Beau Vastine Donor Relations Coordinator for SOMC.
Arnzen said she is looking forward to sharing with the group at Best Care.
“We will be sharing about the new Development Office here at Southern Ohio Medical Center, and how we have combined all of our fundraising efforts, and it will be under the umbrella of the SOMC Development Foundation,” Arnzen said.
Arnzen, a new addition to the SOMC staff, said she thoroughly enjoys her new position.
“I love this job. When I was with the Red Cross, I worked a lot with Southern Ohio Medical Center, and I understood that the work that they did with us, they were so generous and helpful to us. SOMC does that with our whole community, and I am glad to be a part of an organization that enjoys helping the community. I am very proud to work here,” Arnzen said.
She explained that she works with monetary donors to the SOMC Foundation and Compassion Fund.
“We will also share with the group what all of the funds are doing, such as the Compassion Fund, and how they help cancer patients who are in need of wigs that maybe can’t afford to purchase them,” she said.
Arnzen said she and Vastine will provide detailed information on the other SOMC funds.
Best Care will provide a light brunch for those who attend the session. To attend, RSVP by Monday, Jan. 20, to the Best Care office at 740-574-2558.
