TechGROWTH Ohio and OSU South Center in Piketon have named Lowell Morrison Executive in Residence for this area. His job is to find the next Mark Zuckerberg or Henry Ford.
On sabbatical from a 25-year private equity and serial entrepreneur career, TechGROWTH Ohio said Morrison “provides his expertise to local business start-ups and expansions free of charge.” He can be accessed for business advice, product evaluation, patent guidance, strategic support and even start-up funding to qualified technology entrepreneurs. He can also assist existing companies bringing new products to market from southern and southeastern Ohio.
Funded by the Ohio Department of Development, TechGROWTH keeps all client information confidential. The requirements for clients are that they are based in southeast Ohio, and their ideas or products have a technology basis. Morrison can refer clients who do not meet these requirements to other free regional business support services.
TechGROWTH Ohio is charged with significantly fostering the technology-based businesses within a 20-county region of southern Ohio. Funded by the Third Frontier Initiative, TechGrowth Ohio is an internationally recognized technology-based economic development initiative. Ohio Third Frontier provides funding to Ohio technology-based companies, universities, nonprofit research institutions, and other organizations to create new technology-based products, companies, industries and jobs.
