FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. – The Kentucky Department of Highways will close one lane of the Carl Perkins Bridge at South Portsmouth on Wednesday, Sept. 25, for the bridge’s annual inspection.

The southbound lane of Route 852 that crosses the bridge will be closed from approximately 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Highway crews will redirect all traffic into the northbound lane of the bridge using flaggers. Motorists should expect stop-and-go traffic and possible delays.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs and flaggers, drive carefully in work zones, and remain aware of workers and construction equipment at all times.
