A Lucasville woman has been injured in a two vehicle crash. Amanda Blankenship, 30, was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center after her vehicle was involved in a crash with an SUV operated by Misty Bumgardner, 30, of Piketon.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred on Ohio 32 at the Ohio 124 intersection at around 8:44 a.m. Tuesday. That is when the Portsmouth Dispatch Center received a call about a two car injury crash.

A 2002 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Bumgardner, was crossing Ohio 32 from Tennyson Road when she struck a 2003 Toyota Celica driven by Blankenship, who was traveling westbound on Ohio 32.

Bumgardner was treated and released at the scene while Blankenship was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Bumgardner was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.

Elm Grove Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation
