On Tuesday voters in Scioto County were faced with many issues on their ballots. One of the common issues voters faced was who their township trustees were going to be.


There are four open seats on the Village of Otway council and no candidate filed to run.


As of press time, only 53 precincts were reporting and at that time no precincts were reporting for members of Otway council.


In Bloom Township voters were asked to choose two candidates from the three that were running. As of press time, Duane Hagen (370) and Walter Maynard (357) were leading the vote count.


In Brush Creek Township voters were asked to choose two candidates from the five candidates that were running. As of press time Steve Brown (17) and Ray Eichenlaub (10) were leading the vote count.


In Clay Township voters were asked to chose two candidates from the three candidates that were running for Trustee. As of press time, Tim Hines (374) and Howard Richard (345) were leading the vote count.


In Green Township voters were asked to choose two candidates from the three candidates that were running. As of press, time Steve Ruggles (347) and Noah Waddell, Jr. (298) were leading the vote count.


In Harrison Township, voters were asked to choose two candidates from the three candidates that were running for Trustees spots. As of press time, Robert Raby (158) and Calvin Seibert (193) were leading the vote count.


As of press time in Jefferson Township, Donald Buckle had received 42 votes and Earl Canter and received 39 votes.


In Madison Township voters were asked to choose trustees in two different races. In the first race voters were asked to choose between Roy Easter and Donald Lambert Jr. to fill an unexpired term ending in 2015. As of press time, Donald Lambert Jr., had received 99 votes and Roy Easter had received 42 votes.


In the second Madison Township race, voters were asked to choose two candidates from the four candidates that were running. As of press time, David Conkey had received 65 votes, Jim Preston had received 64 votes, Chris Rase had received 81 votes and Greg Shirey had received 35 votes.


Voters in Nile Township were asked to choose two candidates from the three candidates that were running. As of press time, Ken Mundhenk received 61 votes, Matt Reiser had received 66 votes, Gene Ridout had received 54 and there were three write-in votes.


Voters in Porter Township, were asked to choose two candidates from the four candidates that were running. As of press time, Jim Gill received 911 votes W.E. McFarland received 512 votes, Loren Purdom received 239 votes and Jeffery Rase had received 917 votes.


Voters in Rarden Township were asked to choose two candidates from five candidates that were running. As of press time, Michelle Adams had received eight votes, Terry Foster has received five votes, Jerrald Osborne had received no votes, Karen Rivers had received five votes and Frank Williams had received nine votes.


In Rush Township voters were asked to choose two candidates from the five candidates that were running. As of press time, Donald Copas had received 64 votes, David Eichenlaub had received 92 votes, Tim Knittle had received 314 votes, Phil LaJoye had received 192 votes and Bill Maynard had received 148 votes.


In Union Township, voters were asked to choose two candidates from the four candidates that were running. As of press time, Mike Mitchell had received 35 votes, Ralph Montavon had received 19 votes, Donald Osborne Jr. had received 17 votes and Roger Webb had received 18 votes.


In Vernon Township, voters were asked to choose two candidates from the four candidates that were running. As of press time Jeffery Dallas Hall had received 49 votes, Mart Wicker had received 73 votes, Fred Wicker had received 77 votes and and Rodney Wright had received 48 votes.


In Washington Township voters were asked to choose two candidates from the seven candidates that were running. As of press time Scott Bauer had received 385 votes, Tony Journey had received 197 votes, Emily Kingrey had received 182 votes, Jim McGraw had received 378 votes, Mark Thacker had received 108 votes and Lawrence Wooten had received 194 votes.


Township races in Jefferson Morgan and Valley Townships were uncontested.
