Multiple charges presented to the Scioto County grand jury has resulted in four warrants on indictments and four Portsmouth residents being arrested on drug charges. Gregory A. Brown, 60; Billie J. Brown, 58; Joseph K. Jenkins, 19 and Ariel R. Anderson, 24, all of 2923 North Hill Road were arrested by members of the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force.
A case presented to a Scioto County grand jury by the task force and the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office resulted in all four individuals being indicted for multiple counts of trafficking in heroin, felonies of the first, second, and fourth degrees, conspiracy to trafficking in heroin, a felony of the second degree, possession of heroin, a felony of the second degree, trafficking and possession of cocaine, both felonies of the third degree, having a weapon while under disability, a felony of the third degree, and possession of criminal tools, a felony of the fifth degree. Firearms specifications were also attached to some of the indicted offenses.
Back on May 26, 2016, task force detectives seized approximately 37 grams of suspected heroin, approximately 15 grams of suspected cocaine, two firearms, approximately $1,100 cash, digital scales, and additional drug trafficking – related evidence at the 2923 North Hill Road residence.
All arrestees were placed in the Scioto County Jail and are being held without bond until they are arraigned in Scioto County Common Pleas Court.
