With the 2016 construction season getting under way, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9 are set to begin a resurfacing project on state Route 348 in Scioto County.

On Monday, April 11, crews from Allard Excavation will begin resurfacing approximately six miles of S.R. 348, extending from the Adams County line to the route’s junction with S.R. 73 at Otway. Construction also includes minor pavement and bridge deck repairs.

Throughout the project, motorists will encounter temporary lane restrictions as traffic will be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers when crews are at work. ODOT reminds motorists of the need for additional caution when traveling through this and other work zones.

Allard Excavation of South Webster was awarded a contract in the amount of approximately $992,345 to resurface the route, and all work is anticipated to be completed in mid-summer.
