Greenup Habitat expresses gratitude to Cruisers

WURTLAND, Ky. — The Greenup County Habitat For Humanity (GCHFH) and the Greenup County Cruisers (GCC), met on Monday for the GCC monthly meeting.

Habitat wanted to show appreciation to the Cruisers for their support, and served them soup, sandwiches and desserts during the course of the meeting.

Bud Matheny, said since he is involved with both GCHFH, and GCC, it allowed him to get the two organizations connected to one another.

“I was involved with the Greenup Habitat in the past. I started their Cruise-in, I started that six years ago, and I still help them with that,” Matheny said. “And that is is where the Greenup County Cruisers come in. I got them to help when I put it on. Officially, I am not an officer or a member, but will support it.”

GCHFH stages a car show fundraiser on the second Friday from May through October at the Flatwoods McDonalds (McCruise-in) with the assistance of the Greenup County Cruisers.
