On Nov. 30, 2015, the Joseph Spencer NSDAR of Portsmouth, Ohio (Daughters of the American Revolution) donated Cheer Totes to the Portsmouth Veterans Clinic and director Tina Meredith.

The donations consisted of 93 Tote bags filled with supplies and Christmas gifts to be passed out to local veterans over the month of December. The donations also included bags of toothbrushes and toothpaste, handmade pillowcases and lap throws, and a large box of pens with notepads.

The Joseph Spencer chapter would like to thank all businesses, churches, and private donors for the supplies. We would also like to thank all member of the organization for their effort in collecting and organizing the materials. This is the chapter’s largest donation of supplies to the veterans they have been able to make and look forward to collecting even more next year.
