The New Boston Police Department continues to seek the help of the public in locating a missing teenage boy, 16-year-old Terry Sowards of New Boston. Sowards and a 12-year-old New Boston girl had been reported missing on Friday by their parents. They were last seen on Thursday.

On Monday morning, New Boston Police Captain Steve Goins reported the girl was located late Friday evening in the Wayne Hills apartment complex.

“She was arrested for being an unruly juvenile and brought in here to the station and released back to her mother,” Goins said. “The boy, Terry Sowards, is still a missing runaway.”

Goins said the juvenile girl is not cooperating in helping them to locate the missing teen, who is described as 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighing approximately 185 pounds, and was last seen wearing a brown tee-shirt and blue sweatpants.

Goins said anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the teenage boy, Terry Sowards, should contact the New Boston Police Department by calling 740-456-4109 and reporting what they know.
