  • Haunted attraction Terror in the Trees will operate every Friday and Saturday from dusk until the final tickets are sold at 11:30 p.m. throughout October. Admission is $10.00. Last Ride Coffin Rides, hosted by Undertaker Entertainment, will be $5.00. A haunt/ ride combination ticket is available for $13. Terror in the Trees is at 444 Jacobs Cemetery Road, Lucasville.
  • Haunted attraction Jaycees Haunted House will open Friday, September 25 and will operate every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. throughout October. Admission is $8. Jaycees Haunted House is at 2033 Gallia Street, Portsmouth.
  • The Ironton Haunted Tunnel will operate Fridays and Saturdays throughout October. The attraction will accept victims between 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Admission is $5.
  • The Southern Ohio Museum and Cultural Center is currently hosting two galleries, “Preserved: Barbara Vogel” and “The Space Between: The Work of Clara Crockett and Alan Crockett.” The museum is at 825 Gallia Street, Portsmouth. Reach someone at 740-354-5629 for more information.
  • The 1810 House will be open every Sunday between the hours of 2 to 4 p.m. from now until mid-December. Step back in Scioto County history to view the antiquities held within one of Portsmouth’s oldest structures at 1926 Waller Street. Parking is available for guests on the street. There is no admission, but donations insure the longevity of this piece of Portsmouth history and is much appreciated.
  • Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama will be presenting “Haunted Mountain” on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. The shows begin at 8 p.m. and general admission is $12. Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama is at 59687 Marietta Road, Chillicothe, Ohio.
  • Extreme Productions will be presenting the Fifth Annual Cavern of Choices on Saturday, October 31. The group will be welcoming guests between 4 and 11 p.m. Admission is free. The Cavern of Choices is held at White Gravel Mines on White Gravel McDaniel Road, Minford.
  • A community jam session will be held Sunday, November 1 at 2 p.m. in the courtyard of Riverview Retirement Center. Locals are invited to come perform or listen to good music. The event is held at 500 2nd Street, Portsmouth. It will be held every Sunday in the Riverview Retirement Center.
  • Theology on Tap will be held every Monday at Port City, starting at 6 p.m. The doors are open for conversationalists to enjoy discussion on open-minded philosophical topics and debates in the company of good people and high spirits. The event is in the front room of the pub, 424 Chillicothe Street, Portsmouth.
  • Scioto County, the Village of New Boston, and the City of Portsmouth will be celebrating the fall season with Trick-or-Treat on Thursday, October 29, between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
  • Greenup County and South Shore Kentucky will be celebrating the fall season with Trick-or-Treat on Saturday, October 31, between the hours of 6-8 p.m.
  • Piketon will be celebrating the fall season with Trick-or-Treat on Saturday, October 31, between the hours of 5-6 p.m.
  • Clay Local Schools will be hosting its annual Christmas Craft Bazaar on Saturday, October 31 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The bazaar will be at Clay High School, 44 Clay High Street, Rosemount. The event is sponsored by the Clay Alumni Association. Food will be served all day.
  • The Fourth Annual Zombie Walk will be held in Waverly on Saturday, October 31 at noon. To walk with the zombies, guests must donate four non-perishable food items per person and be dressed as a zombie. There will be a costume contest in six categories, a zombie dance-off for children, a zombie queen pageant, food. and fun for all ages. The event will be at 100 E Second Street, Waverly. Proceeds will go to Southern Ohio Homeless Veterans.
  • Frank-N-Steins will be hosting its Annual Halloween Party on October 31, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. Live music by Ian Jones, The Jazz Bastards, and Social in Tents. Frank-N-Steins is at 707 Chillicothe Street, Portsmouth.
