Heroin, cocaine, and opoids were confiscated, and a man arrested Thursday after Portsmouth Police responded to reports of drug activity.

Terrell J. Johnson, 26, who is listed as homeless, faces charges of possession of drugs-heroin, possession of drugs-cocaine, failure to appear, issuance of a warrant, possession of drugs-schedule three, four or five substance and tampering with evidence.

Police said Johnson attempted to flee the scene and attempted to conceal or destroy the drugs by throwing them away as he fled from officers. The police report showed the substances field tested positive for heroin and crack cocaine.

In addition, officers said Johnson had a bench warrant from Portsmouth Municipal Court at the time of his apprehension.

He was incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail.
