Montgomery was transported to Greenfield Adena. He was later flown by Med-Flight to Grant Hospital in Columbus. Montgomery was charged with failure to control and operating a vehicle intoxicated. His injuries are unknown at this time.

Troopers took the opportunity to remind motorists to never drink then drive.

Joshua Hicks, 28 of West Union was operating a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country when it traveled left of center striking a 1995 Chevrolet S-10 driven by David Humphrey, 54 of Peebles.
