GRAYSON, Ky. — The Grayson Gallery and Art Center will feature the artistry of George Early on Friday, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m. Gallery Coordinator Dan Click said featuring the artwork of Early came as a result of becoming acquainted with Early’s Wife.

“The Grayson Gallery’s recent fundraising event for the ‘Save the Elephants’ organization caught the attention of a local artist’s widow, who was looking for an outlet for sharing and selling her husband, George Early’s artwork,” Click said. “Mrs. Early was interested in helping the earthquake victims in Nepal and felt that the gallery had the experience be able to help.”

Click said it gives them great pride to be able to help.

“We are proud to be offering Early’s art at reduced prices via an open sale as well as a silent auction on August 28,” he said.

He said the partnership has been instrumental in making re-connections happen, as well as creating working relationships with other organizations in the community.

“This new partnership has also reignited a connection to the Kentucky Creative Arts Club, of which George Early was a member, as well as building relationships with the Grayson Rotary Club and Rotary International/Nepal Rotary, which will facilitate the funds raised to help to build shelters for earthquake survivors,” he said.
