A Rosemount couple has been arrested and charged in a burglary. Arrested were Josh Dingus, 25, and his wife April Dingus, 24, of Rose Valley Road, Portsmouth. Both have been charged with one count of burglary a felony of the second degree.

Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said his office received a call on July 6 from an elderly couple stating that somebody had gotten into their home and had stolen several items.

Donini said a deputy responded to that location where a report was taken and forwarded to a detective for an investigation. Donini said during the investigation, detectives were able to identify possible suspects which resulted in the recovery of some of the stolen items. The case was reportedly presented to the Scioto County grand jury which resulted in and indictment warrant being filed on the couple. Both suspects were arrested on Tuesday without incident,

Josh and April Dingus are currently being held without bond. The couple will appear in Common Pleas court at a later date.

Donini said anyone with any information concerning the case should contact detective Matthew Spencer at 740-351-1092.
