Body pulled from creek in Lewis County

LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. — The Deputy Coroner Amanda Clark, of the Lewis County Coroner’s Office, said the body of Tracy Lynn Lewis, 35, of Vanceburg, Ky., was pulled from Kinniconick Creek in Lewis County, Ky. on Monday.

Deputy Clark told The Portmouth Daily Times that the body of Riley was discovered early Monday morning at by Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputies, and members of the Portsmouth Ambulance.

“Lewis County Sherriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by Portsmouth Ambulance,” Clark said. “The actual cause of death is undetermined at this point, and is under investigation. We are still investigating.”

Lewis was pronounced dead Monday morning at the scene by Lewis County Coroner Tony Gaydos.

Though cause of death is suspected to be the result of drowning, Clark said authorities will be working diligently to confirm the cause of death, and that more information regarding the case is forthcoming.
