FLATWOODS. Ky. — The Flatwoods Lion Club p.m. is hosting their fourth annual Summer Hamburger Fry on the Pennington Food Fair lot on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Flatwoods Lion Club is extending an invitation to the community to come out and enjoy a burger, topped with grilled onions, cheese, pickle, mustard, mayo, ketchup, and a drink for $3.50.
Funds raised by the event, and others are allocated for Lions Club and projects such as glasses for people in need, to fund scholarships for high school students, and donations to organizations such as the summer reading program at the county library.
The Flatwoods Lion Club will also be collecting eye glasses, as they may be dropped off during the Hamburger Fry. In the case of rain, the fry will convene on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
