Members of the Minford Falcons and Valley Indians 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams did their part to support cancer research and local cancer patients, hosting a Pink Out event Oct. 4. The Pink Out was sponsored in part by Buffalo Wild Wings, who provided a raffle drawing of free wings for an entire year. Other donations were made by Wendi’s, Gatti’s Pizza, Clarktown Pizza, Johnson’s Design Plus, and additional funds were raised through the sale of “pink” items and gift baskets. The event raised a grand total of $1,772, which will benefit the Breast Cancer Compassion Fund of Southern Ohio Medical Center. Many thanks go out to the coaches, players, families, and fans that made the event such a success!
