Edward E. Keeney, 80, of New Boston, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at King’s Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

He was born Sept. 26, 1929, in Portsmouth, to the late Charles and Prudence Cheek Keeney.

Ed is survived by three sisters, Sharon Floyd and husband Jim of Wheelersburg, Brenda Haywood and husband Malcomb of Wheelersburg, and Thelma Green and husband Eddie of Wheelersburg; one brother, David Keeney of Wheelersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Alfred, Buford and Virgil Keeney; three sisters, Donna Salyers, Betty Floyd, and Neva “Midge” Keeney; and a special friend whom he loved very much, Carrie Whitt.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with Pastor Ronnie Blevins officiating, with interment at Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour before the services at the funeral home.
