Robert Pastor, 85

Robert A. Pastor, 85, of Oak Hill, OH passed away at Holzer ER on Sunday, March 17, 2013. He was born Oct. 20, 1926, in Columbus, OH to the late Joseph and Esther (Duga) Pastor. He graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1944 and then served in the Army from 1945. He returned home in 1946 and ran the family business, Pastor’s Department Store, for over 35 years. Upon closing Pastor’s Department Store, Bob became facilities manager at Franklin Valley Golf Course.Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Elks and getting together with High School classmates.

Bob is survived by his wife, Alma (Aeh), whom he married Sept. 3, 1955; son, Joe (Patty) Pastor; grand daughters, Jordan and Courtney Pastor, and Heather (Tom) Triplett; and great grandsons, Tommy and Dylan.

Along with his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a son, Scott Pastor.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral home in Oak Hill, Ohio with Rev. Stan Howard and Rev. Pat King officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the funeral home with an Elks Service at 7 p.m.
