Ellis Tackett, 82

Ellis Tackett, age 82, of New Carlisle, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2013.He was born on Feb. 3, 1931, to the late Grady and Myrtle Tackett.

In addition to his parents Ellis is preceded in death by his brothers, Amos and Chester Tackett; sister, Esther (Tackett) Thompson. Ellis is survived by his wife of 49 years Janice (Parker) Tackett; sister, Lola Mae (Tackett) Wells; brother, Clarence Tackett; three namesakes, James Ellis Tackett, Joshua Ellis Tackett, and Elliena Mae Keller; 12 nieces and seven nephews; and numerous other family and friends.

He was a retired machinist from Dayton Forging and Heat Treat. Ellis was a loving and devoted husband and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
