Officers have confiscated 708 Oxycodone pills, valued at $14,200 and charged a Michigan woman in the process.

As a part of the continuing effort to put a dent in the Michigan to Ohio to Kentucky to Florida drug pipeline, troopers of the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol have charged Kimicia S. Turner, 19, with possession of Oxycodone, a felony of the second degree.

Troopers said stopped a 2012 Buick Regal on U.S. 23 in Lucasville at around 10:37 p.m. Wednesday for a speeding violation. They said criminal indicators were present, and after questioning a female passenger, that passenger, later identified as Turner, advised she was concealing contraband on her person.

Troopers said, at the Portsmouth Post, the passenger voluntarily forfeited approximately 708 Oxycodone pills.

Turner was cited into Portsmouth Municipal Court.
