Violet Binder, 87

Violet R. Binder, 87, of Minford, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at her daughter’s residence. Born March 30, 1925, in Pike County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Green and Roxie Dotson Mullins, she was a waitress for Smitty Restaurant in Columbus, Club Franklin, Manhattan Restaurant, was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by two sons, Charles (Patty) Hinson of Sciotoville, Floyd Harrison of Columbus; one daughter, Phyllis (P.J.) Barney-Glauder of Minford; 10 grandchildren, David (Kathy) Barney, Misty (Justin) Bostwick, Bruce (Tracey) Harrison, Charlie Hinson, Jerome Hinson, Janie Hinson, Alea May, Amber May, Kyam Matthews; sixteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, a special niece, Juanita Fraulini, and a special nephew, Leon Loop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Binder; five sisters, Sally Loop, Ome Baker, Vestie Miller, Goldie Blackburn, Gracie Reed; four brothers, Charles Mullins, Beldon Mullins, Dell Mullins, Orville Mullins, and one grandson, Scott Barney. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with John Baker officiating. Burial will be at White Cemetery in Minford.
