Eloise Grubbs, 86

Eloise Marietta Grubbs, 86, of McDermott, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Heartland of Portsmouth.

She was born Aug. 22, 1926, in McDermott, a daughter of the late Lowell Altman and Gertrude Young Altman Stall.

Eloise was a homemaker, a waitress, a member of the Pleasant Valley Branch of the Community of Christ, and a 1944 McDermott High School graduate.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay (Bobby) Parker of Crystal, Minnesota; two stepchildren, Tom (Barbara) Koch of McDermott and Candace (Douglas) Rose of Columbus; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two sisters Linda Conley of Lucasville and Edrie Hackworth of McDermott.

She was also preceded in death by one son, David Koch; and one brother, Charles Altman.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Monday, March 11, 2013, at the Pleasant Valley Branch of the Community of Christ with Doug Altman officiating. Burial will follow in Crabtree Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and an hour before the funeral at the church on Monday.
