Albert Franklin Bowens Jr., 82

Albert Franklin Bowens Jr., 82 of Sciotoville, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at his home. He was born July 5, 1930, in Scioto County to the late Albert and Rosa Algood Bowens. Along with his parents Albert was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Albert is survived by four brothers; Robert Bowens of West Portsmouth and Fred Bowens of Portsmouth, Ronald Bowens of West Virginia and John Bowens of Chillicothe, a sister Edna Mae Toombs of West Virginia and two nieces that were his caregivers, Diane Secrist and Donna Bowens.

There will be graveside services 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Friendship Cemetery with Billy Yearwood officiating. Interment will follow the services. Friends may gather at the cemetery starting at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
