FLATWOODS, Ky. — Reacting to a tip Thursday, Greenup Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence suspected of housing a methamphetamine manufacturing lab and made three arrests.

According to Greenup County Sheriff Keith Cooper, Mark Porter, 46, of Argillite Rd. in Flatwoods, Ky., was arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, wanton endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia after Deputies Rick Craft, David Bocook and Cody Fuller responded to a tip that Porter was operating a meth lab.

Deputies arrived to find Porter and Adam Clifton, 25, of the same residence involved in a fully active meth lab operation.

While authorities were at the location, Christopher K. Jenkins, 23 of East Main St. in Greenup arrived to purchase meth from Porter and Clifton. Deputies arrested Jenkins for conspiracy to trafficking in a controlled substance.

Porter carried the additional charge of wanton endangerment because an apartment above his residence houses children.

All three men are being held in the Greenup County Detention Center.
