Portsmouth Police say they have caught a fugitive from justice. According to police, David J. Malouhos, 23, of 1525 Pleasant Ave., Portsmouth, was stopped Friday afternoon while pushing a grocery cart full of junk in the middle of the 2800 block of Gallia Street.

A check of the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) reportedly revealed Malouhos was wanted in Monroe County, Florida for failure to appear for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill charge. The warrant was confirmed by Florida officials and a response was received from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. According to Monroe County authorities, Malouhos was arrested on Oct. 22, 2011 at the age of 21.

Malouhos was transported to the Scioto County Jail.
