Catherine Laidley, 91

Audrey Catherine Laidley, 91, of Lucasville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at SOMC Hospice. Born Oct. 28, 1921, in Logan Co., W.Va., a daughter of the late Oscar and Georgie Mullins McCown, she was retired from Valley Local Schools, was a member of Long Run Free Will Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of Long Run Free Will Baptist Church Ladies Auxiliary, James Irwin Post Ladies Auxiliary and Eastern Homemakers Club.

She is survived by three sons, Arthur “Butch” (Willeen) Laidley of Oklahoma, William H. (Patty) Laidley of Westerville, David C. (Shuralee) Laidley of Johnstown; three daughters, Karen R. Kleinman of Portsmouth, Marie Graybeal of Delaware, Anna L. (Ted) Gibbs of Lucasville; fourteen grandchildren, Angie Carneghi, Melanie Dunlap, Jeff Kleinman, Michael Kleinman, Tim Kleinman, Laura Laidley, Kristen Laidley, Matt Laidley, Katja Raindl, Adam Laidley, Maggie Harkins, Josh Graybeal, Chad Conley, Cassie Conley; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Criswell of Sandusky, and one brother, Don McCowen of Cape Coral, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Oscar Laidley; one son, Steven Laidley in infancy; one granddaughter, Terrie Shaw; four sisters, Rata Bradley, Lucille Wadsworth, Virginia Ruth McCown, Louise Petrick; brother, Bill McCown and two brothers in infancy. The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice and Dr. Jeffrey Hill for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Long Run Free Will Baptist Church in Clarktown with John King officiating. Burial will be at Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
