Americans for Prosperity-Ohio, the state’s a free market grassroots organization committed to smaller government and economic freedom Wednesday released its scorecard for the 112th Congress, and several Ohio representatives scored high, not so high, and low.

Former Ohio Second District Congresswoman Jean Schmidt, received an A; Ohio Sixth District Congressman Bill Johnson, received a B, as did U.S. Senator Rob Portman. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown was given a D-.

AFP also launched an interactive online version of its congressional key vote scorecard which includes AFP key votes from the past three congresses and will be the scorecard’s online home moving forward. AFP says they rank members of Congress on their votes for economic freedom. A copy of scores is below.

“In order to hold their elected officials accountable, Ohio constituents need to know how their Representative or Senators voted,” AFP-OH Policy Director Seth Morgan, said. “The AFP Scorecard is the best way for our activists to keep a close eye on Washington, and confront them when they don’t vote responsibly.”

The 112th Congress Scorecard includes critical votes on such issues as the repeal of President Obama’s new health care law, preempting EPA’s purported authority to regulate greenhouse gases, Chairman Paul Ryan’s budget, ending ethanol subsidies, several Congressional Review Act resolutions to overturn new regulations, and the fiscal year 2012 appropriations bills.

Eighteen Representatives and one Senator received a perfect 100 percent, earning an A+ score on the AFP Scorecard. Twenty-one Representatives and one Senator received a 0 percent, earning an F.

AFP’s new scorecard website is online at www.americansforprosperity.org/scorecard.

Who are Americans for Prosperity? AFP is a front group founded and funded by oil billionaires David and Charles Koch- you know, big oil...the ones who are single handedly damaging our economy by wanting more, more, more money at the pump and more corporate welfare for oil? They are anti-clean air, anti-clean water. They are against all things "union" and of course, major funders of right to work (for less) legislation across the US. They desire to make the rich RICHER...at the expense of middle class working people.

Great work Senator Sherrod Brown!
