No. 2 Ironton proved to be too much for No. 7 Valley in Saturday’s Division III Southeast Sectional Semifinal at Jackson High School.
Lexi Barrier led all scorers with 17 points while Ariel Schweickart chipped in with 13 for the Lady Fighting Tigers. Lexie Doddridge paced the Indians with 14 points and McKenzie Coriell closed out her high school career with 10 points as the lone senior on the team.
Ironton will take on the winner of the No. 6 Peebles-No. 3 Lynchburg Clay contest in Thursday’s Division III Southeast District Semifinal at Waverly’s Downtown Gymnasium.
