Dorothy Kirsch, 72

Dorothy R. “Dottie” Kirsch, 72 of Upper Arlington, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013.

She was born Aug. 13, 1940 in Portsmouth, and was a 1958 graduate of Portsmouth H.S. She studied Respiratory Therapy at Flagler College which she made her career. Dottie was a member of Northwest Christian Church and the Florida Society for Respiratory Care. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. She had a caring, positive attitude and was always willing to help others. Dottie enjoyed gardening and spending time at the beach.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Martha Thomas; brothers, David, Roger, and Benny Thomas; and infant sister, Charlotte.

Dottie will be missed by her loving husband, George; daughters, Karen Kirsch and Julia (Jerry) Eaton; grandchildren, Brittany Kirsch, Sara Eaton, and Andrew Eaton; brothers, Lawrence “Larry” and Gary Thomas; sisters, Mary Hamilton and Carol Harwood; and nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. at Northwest Christian Church, 1340 Fishinger Rd., Columbus, OH 43221 The Reverends Jeffrey A. Wheeler and Cynthia N. Adcock, officiating.
