Two SOC II games in as many nights did not phase visiting Valley Saturday night as the Indians claimed at least a share of the SOC II lead with a 65-56 win at Wheelersburg.
Valley had four players in double figures, led by Jordan West’s 18 points. He was joined by Bryan Rolfe (13), Chris Flowers (12) and Will Howard (10). Dylan Miller led all scorers with 23 and Derek Moore chipped in with 10 in the loss.
The Indians host Waverly Friday night with the chance of clinching at least a share of the SOC II championship. The Pirates are at Greenup County (Ky.) Tuesday night.

Northwest 49, Clay 34
Host Northwest earned its second win of the season with a 49-34 nonconference win over Clay.
Drew Scarberry paced the Mohawks with 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Marcus Potter added 13 points and Cory Burnworth grabbed 10 rebounds. Eldin Sarajlic’s dozen was the leading scorer for the Panthers.
Northwest hosts New Boston Tuesday night. Clay will take on the same Tiger squad Friday night.

West dropped its final tune up before the Division III Tournament with a 63-58 loss at Lewis County (Ky.).
Tori Leader led the Senators with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Hannah Cremeans chipped in with a dozen.
West will take on Portsmouth Monday night at Valley in a Division III Southeast Sectional Semifinal. The winner will take on No. 2 Wheelersburg Saturday.
