Erma Kinker

Erma F. Smith Kinker, 88, of Columbus, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at Mt Carmel East Hospital in Columbus after a long battle with heart disease and cancer

She was born Nov. 25, 1924 in Scioto Furnace, a daughter of the late Elmer Smith and Leona Stiles Smith. She worked in Food Service at Portsmouth General Hospital and was an avid sewer, decorative painter, and liked working in her yard, doing crafts and camping with her family

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Woodall Bowles and son-in-law Phillip Bowles and three nieces and three nephews

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Delbert Kinker; one sister, Marie Sparr; four brothers, Harold Smith, Denver Smith, Lawrence Smith, and Estel Smith and one niece Judy Kirk

Following Erma’s wishes Graveside Services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday Feb. 10, 2013 at the South Webster Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home in South Webster.
