As part of the Celebrate Recovery Program at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Comedian Mark Lundholm and international speaker Amy Lambert will speak at Cornerstone. Lundholm is set to speak Thursday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. and Lambert will appear Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.

Cornerstone has a Celebrate Recovery Program which is a Christian Recovery Program that is Christ-centered for those who struggle and have struggled with drug addiction.

In addition to their speaking, Lundholm and Lambert will utilize singing, music, and comedy to share their personal stories of their experiences with drug addiction and how their lives had changed.

Lundholm’s visit to Cornerstone is being sponsored by the Counseling Center.

Lundholm has appeared on Comedy Central, Showtime, A&E, CBS, and NBC. He wrote and performed his own one-man show off-Broadway in New York City and created a DVD series which he calls, ‘Humor in Treatment’ and the Recovery Board Game, which has become the heart of his performances.

Lambert is the founder of Amy Lambert Ministries, which is an international ministry in which Lambert has travelled as a global evangelist to reach out to the world. She continually hosts Gospel crusades, national meetings and trainings for evangelism.

Lambert created an outreach ministry which she calls, Invasion, which is a free rock and rap concert with a mission to see lives transformed. Invasions are designed to target the drug-addicted population and anyone who has not heard the gospel message of freedom in Christ.

Tim Roth, Senior Pastor at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, said he believes the special guests will help to inspire the hearts of those who battle with drug addiction.

“I sincerely believe anyone and everyone who attends will be encouraged, and know that they too can have hope of lives free of drugs and anything else that is detrimental,” Roth said.
