Harry Bergman, 70

Harry “Bill” W. Bergman, 70, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Heritage Park Health Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a US Air Force veteran and worked as a Train Dispatcher with Norfolk Southern Railroad for 38 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of Christ’s Church at Georgetown, Ind.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn J. Bergman of Fort Wayne, Ind., sons, James Bergman of Fort Wayne and Jeffrey (Angie) Bergman of Conyers, Ga.; grandchildren, Keith, JonMorgan, Rachel Bergman and Molly Bergman; great-grandson, Nathan Bergman sister; Anna Lee Marshall (Cecil) of South Shore, Ky. an Martha (Joe) Wood of New Albany, Ohio.

Harry was preceded in death by his parent Harry W. and Ruth Bergman. Surviving also are half sisters, Ada Lewis, Norma Jean Barker, Phyllis Nickel and Lynn Mahoney.

Funeral Service is Thursday, 11 a.m., Jan. 24, 2013, at Christ’s Church at Georgetown Ind., 3131 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. Chris Steele and Rev. David Altman officiating. Calling will be Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, from 2 p.m.- 5 p.m. & 7 p.m. -9 p.m. at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, Ind.

Graveside Services 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in South Shore, Ky. with Brother William Hayden officiating, with Military Graveside services by James L. Flannery American Legion Post #276 of South Shore, Ky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
